Hitachi has put owners and operators at the heart of the design for its latest Zaxis-7 medium excavators¬: the ZX210-7, ZX225US-7 and ZX225USR-7. Continuously improving on previous generation machines, Hitachi has focused on enhancing the experience in the cab, while providing owners with opportunities to increase profits and reduce costs with its Stage-V compliant machines.

Improve your profit Hitachi Zaxis-7 excavators have been designed to the highest quality, and the new-look ZX210-7, ZX225US-7 and ZX225USR-7 deliver up to 11% less fuel consumption than the previous models. Hitachi’s industry-leading hydraulic system, the new TRIAS III, ensures that a high level of performance is achieved in every application. In addition, owners can boost their profits by working on a wider range of projects thanks to the excellent versatility of Zaxis-7 excavators. A variety of specifications means that the ZX210-7, ZX225US-7 and ZX225USR-7 can meet the requirements of any job site, including mono and two-piece boom, and long (LC) and narrow (LCN) undercarriage options for optimal stability or easy transportation. The ZX225US-7 has a class-leading, ultra-short swing radius of 1,680mm, and an optional dozer blade. Different attachments are quickly changed using the enhanced attachment support system on the monitor. Feel the difference The ultra-spacious ZX210-7, ZX225US-7 and ZX225USR-7 offer operators an industry-leading, first-class cab with the ultimate in comfort and quality, as well as some of the lowest noise levels in the market and 16% less vibration (ZX210-7) than the previous generation. The cab of the ZX225US-7 and ZX225USR-7 has a 15cm wider door opening and an enlarged interior, with increased legroom for greater comfort. Easy operation comes from the new ergonomic design of the console and switches, and convenient access to controls. The menu can be navigated quickly on the 8” LCD monitor with the multifunctional controller and the hi-res anti-glare screen is also easier to view. In addition, the refreshed layout offers a clear display and desirable functionality – such as air conditioning, DAB+ radio and Bluetooth®. Increase safety The new Hitachi Zaxis-7 excavators offer a superior view of the job site to enhance safety. The excellent visibility is helped by the exceptional 270-degree bird’s-eye view provided by the Aerial Angle camera system. In the ZX225US-7 and the ZX225USR-7, visibility has been further improved to the front – due to lowering of the sash bar – and to the left because of the relocation of the central pillar. New LED work lights and a windscreen wiper with an increased sweeping area enable operators to work with confidence in difficult conditions. Boost uptime The latest Hitachi medium excavators have been built to last, so that owners can remain in complete control of their assets. They have been tested rigorously and continuously at dedicated facilities in Japan with the goal of significantly boosting uptime. Features such as the wider engine door and cover openings on the ZX210-7, and new filter layout, larger steps and engine cover on the ZX225US-7 and ZX225USR-7 provide easier and quicker access for daily inspections to minimise downtime. Fleet management Hitachi remote monitoring systems enable owners to feel in total control of their fleet and workload with access to vital data courtesy of Owner’s Site and ConSite. Both systems send operational data via GPRS or satellite from the excavator to Global e-Service on a daily basis. ConSite summarises the information in a monthly email, and the ConSite Pocket app shows real-time alerts for any potential issues. A unique innovation continuously monitors the quality of engine and hydraulic oil, 24/7. Data is transmitted daily via two oil sensors to Global e-Service. These detect if the oil quality has deteriorated, due to contamination or low viscosity. It reduces maintenance and unscheduled downtime, and gives owners peace of mind thanks to scheduled servicing and a higher resale value. Create your vision “We’re excited to launch the latest Zaxis-7 medium excavators,” says Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) NV Product Manager Excavators, Wilbert Blom. “They have been designed and engineered to help operators and owners to create their vision. We want to empower our customers to take control of their world, not only with our products, but also our people, solutions and services.”
